Kakuna's Revenge


Part 1: The beginning



Young trainer Pug Grinder lived in Celadon city. He was abandoned as a child
and was left outside of an ancient pokemon trainers house in celadon city.
He was brought up by the wise trainer as his own son and the two bonded
well. Over the years young Pug learned a great deal about pokemon training
from this wise trainer. Finally the day came when Pug would finally start
his quest to become a pokemon trainer, The wise trainer talked to Pug and
told him that over-enthusiasm and too much confidence would lose all his
pokebattles. Pug pretended to listen but soon forgot those words. He went to
Professor Mclanes lab where he would pick up one of his 3 pokemon. Koffing,
Pidgey and Poliwag. Pug always liked dirty pokemon so he decided he would
chose Koffing. When he arrived at the lab. There was a fuss of commotion
Professor Mclane explained to the crowd that had gathered "Team Rocket have
struck they've stolen all the pokemon so I'm afraid you Budding trainers
won't get a chance to start today. Swamped in disappointment Pug returned
home he was surprised to see the door open. When he got in he saw the
trainer on the floor in a pool of blood. P...u...g is that you. Come on Dad
we've gotta save you. It's too late for me.....

Don't talk like that, did Team Rocket do this. Y..e....s they stole all my
poke..mon. I'm gonna kill Team Rocket. But son... Team Rocket said they
stole all the pokemon in Celadon City. Haven't you any left Dad. I..... I
want you to carry on my legacy. Take this weedle I just caught not long ago.
I feared this would happen and decided to catch this for you to start your
collectio..n. Thanks man. From that moment pug vowed to take revenge on Team
Rocket.


And with that world famous pokemon trainer Ash Ketchum passed away.




Kakuna's revenge part 2: The legend of Ash


Pug looked at the professor as to say "What's going on" and "What am I gonna
do now". The professor gave him a farely emotionless stare back. He came out
quite frank "Pug, Ash had me prepared for when this day happened, he told me
to give you this note. The note read

      Dear Pug,
      I know when you read this I will have passed away but don't mourn,
instead I want you to continue my legacy as a pokemon trainer. Take my
pokedex from the professor and rid the world of evil. I have left you with 2
pokemon to take with you,  a scyther and a cubone. now you you must depart
from Celadon city, good luck and remember I'll always be proud of you.

Pug slowly put the piece of paper on the table. "weren't those two pokemon
captured by Team Rocket."
"No," the prof replied "these pokemon have been kept locked away for when
this day came."
"You must leave soon if Team Rocket find out Ash Ketchum's son is still
alive they will look for you, talk to Mr Booth who lives next door to you he
thinks he knows what Team Rocket are up to."
The professor took a deep breath and handed Pug the two pokeballs. "I will
defend my fathers legacy, I will get my revenge on Team Rocket."

Pug walked through the streets of Celadon city knowing that when he left
there would be little chance of him returning. Just as he was starting to
think deeply a voice entered his ear from across the road.
"Hey Pug, it's me Mr Booth"
Pug entered Mr Booths house and sat down.
"Ash had warned me about this, he said he could take it on himself"
"Take on what" exclaimed Pug.
"Your father is the worlds best trainer this has been a true tragedy for
many trainers who also want revenge but they will have no luck. I believe
you
might stand a better chance. I will inform you of your duty you must do.
About 50 years ago when your father started training Team Rocket were the
most useless criminals, but over the course of 50 years their strength grew.
Jessie and James were the two that jump started Team Rocket. They managed to
capture the Extremely rare mew and used it's power to make the world fear
the
name Team Rocket. Jesse and James passed away this year of old age but their
children Jonathon and Marie have continued to control Team Rocket. This was
how the 20 year pokemon war was started, all through the war your father
fought bravely with his pokemon and eventually a truce was drawn between
Team Rocket, they signed an agreement to exterminate all the hideous mew
clones they spawned to fight for them in the war, no one knows what happened
to the lone mew though. This
has led me to believe that Jonathon and Marie have illegaly made a powerful
mew clone from the last of the original mews dying blood. When they invaded
your fathers house they not only stole all his pokemon, he released 3
pokemon mewtwo, electabuzz and vulpix to fight, they also died from the
mewclone's attacks. This is also how they managed to break into the lab and
steal all the pokemon. With this kind of power they can take over the world.
Pug you must become a strong trainer and capture many pokemon, train them
wisely, all the information you learnt in your childhood should come in
handy. All the help I can offer now is to take this map and head to Pewter
City to the North. There hopefully you will meet one of Ash's old friends
who is also a pokemon legend, unless Team Rocket have already struck there
too. Hurry quickly now young Pug and hope to God that Brock: master of rock
pokemon is still with the living. Before you leave I offer you this advice
do not take on Mewclone too soon you are our only hope, remember your
fathers words.

With all this knowledge in his mind Pug left Celadon city and headed off to
find Brock who is father Ash had spoken fondly of many times. With his 3
pokemon sitting snugly in his father's pokebelt he left through the huge
city
gates. Out in the open he saw a white tail poking out from the long
grass...

Part 3: Clone Wars

Out in the open he saw a white tail poking from the grass. "This couldn't
possibly be" he murmured to himself.
He whipped out his pokedex and turned to mew's profile. "The mew is easily
recognised by it's white tail" the pokedex replied. Thats odd Pug thought,
this ones tail was slightly green in areas. Before he could think any more
he focused himself on catching this pokemon. He leaped onto the other side
of the long grass and cried, go Cubone. Cubone leapt out of the pokeball
eager for a battle after so long.
It was then that Pug saw the mew, he then realised something, something
terrible. This was no Mew it was a discarded test subject. The pokemon
looked like a cross between a Bulbasaur and a Mew. Team Rocket obviously
could never clone a perfect Mew due to it's complex DNA, this unfortunately
enough was wilder than any other pokemon, there was no way he could capture
it. Before he could think again the clone stared into his eyes. A dark stare
was given from the clone, it's eyes seemed to burst into flames. Then before
Pug's eyes this clone seemed to evolve, except it wasen't like a normal
pokemon evolution. The clone was writhing in agony. Arms, tentacles you name
it sprouted from the clone. Then as soon as Pug had found it the clone just
evaporated into thin air, all that remained of it was a lone tentacle that
began to disentagrate. This was all starting to make sense to Pug he
returned Cubone to his pokeball. Team Rocket have tried for 50 years to make
the perfect Mew clone, hundreds maybe thousands of pokemon clones were
killed in this gruelling manner.
But my father's MewTwo, the mewclone must not obey orders well, why wouldn't
team Rocket want MewTwo. Then the thought hit him MewTwo's corpse was never
found. Team Rocket have two mew clones with uncanny powers.
But my father's MewTwo would never go over to Team Rocket, I must save
MewTwo and Mew, Maybe with their combined powers I could defeat the
MewClone.
Pewter City was just ahead. Pug heard a distinct rumble.
Then all of a sudden a Team Rocket chopper whizzed over his head. The
chopper landed on the ground and two shadowy figures stepped out.
"Team Rocket" Pug shouted,"Damn you all"
The first shadowy figure spoke"Now, now that's not a very nice way to speak
to Team Rocket" this figure was Jonathon. Marie stepped out of the shadows
and said in pity "Oh it's him"
Jonathon then said "Marie he's not supposed to know yet"
"Know what" screamed Pug
"Nothing, you runt we should have exterminated you along with your father,
his MewTwo is proving to be quite unco-operative" said Jonathon
"He'll never give in" retorted Pug
"Oh yes he will," Jonathon replied
Pug then said in a bitter tone "where's your MewClone"
"He has proven to be too wild, when he is tamed we will devastate this town
also, before that we must kill you and your pokemon. A trainer like your
father must not become again." said Marie
"Prepare to be destroyed" Jonathon yelled "Go Dragonite"
"Go Hitmonchan" yelled Marie
Team Rocket released there pokeballs in a blinding flash, Pug had barely
time to respond he released weedle by accident.
"A weedle, you are doomed" Team Rocket taunted.
The weedle then evolved into a Kakuna, why it evolved so fast neither of the
trainers knew.
"Jonathon grab that Kakuna, kid next time you see him, If ever he will be
crossbred with a mew" Marie said
"You are sick, you are killing thousands of pokemon and that mew must soon
be dead, thats why I intend to storm your HQ and stop your plan" Pug said
with a slight bit of nervousness.
"Ha Ha Ha, Jonathon I'll deal with this pipsqueak take kakuna into the
chopper"
"rrrghhhh GO SCYTHER  swords dance"
Scyther leaped out of the pokeball and gracefully leaped onto Hitmonchan,
his swords dance knocked the pokemon out for a few seconds.
"Go Cubone" he screamed at the top of his voice "Bone Club" NOW
Cubone swung his weaponary at the Hitmonchan. It was hit directly in the
center of his head and he collapsed.
"Well Marie I have defeated you" said Pug triumphantly
He then heard a voice from the chopper "Pug you will pay for this with your
life when MewClone recovers"
Pug was overwhelmed by what had just happened as the chopper soared back
into the distance.
What did they mean by "he's not supposed to know yet".
His fathers pokemon were powerful but he knew he needed to get MewTwo and
Mew.
He felt sadness for the Kakuna he would never see again, but no he said to
himself don't think like that as he approached the gates to Pewter CIty, he
will rescue his fathers surviving poekmon and his own from the HQ. With this
in mind he returned both his pokemon to their balls and went into the city
to warn the townspeople of Team Rocket's attack and to talk to the pokemon
master Brock.


Kakuna's Revenge part 4

Mewclone's revenge

Pug entered Pewter city with a great breath of relief, everything seemed
okay the people were going about their daily business. Brock was sitting at
the street corner entertaining some kids with his stories of pokémon
mastery.
"Tell us about how Ash evolved Pikachu into Raichu again Brock", cried the
group of excited kids.
"Not again kids, run along now I'm not as fit as I used to be you know"
Pug watched as the kids ran off and he looked at the expression on Brock's
face, it was a sign of sadness.
"Hey you, kid", a voice across the street cried
"yeah, what" Pug replied
"Got any Pokémon on you", the man replied
"Yeah"
"Prepare to lose them then"
The man jumped out of his costume to reveal his true identity. A Team Rocket
member.
"You will pay for what you did to Marie's Hitmonchan"
"Go Blastoise, Hydro pump that little squirt"
A blinding flash occured, followed by the towering mass of Blastoise
Pug quickly reacted and released scyther.
"Syther, slash attack now", cried pug but to no avail as scyther leaped up
it was brushed away by blastoise attack.
"return Scyther, go Cubone", he cried in vain.
"Blastoise use fissure, Destroy that pokémon"
Then another pokémon entered the battle,"Go Golem Earthquake attack", a
croaky voice cried just behind Pug
It was Brock, Pug was amazed that such an old man could still battle
pokémon.
"I will defeat you also, Blastoise Strength" screamed the Team Rocket member
Golem used the attack and created a gigantic hole in the ground Blastoise
tried in vain to use the strength attack but eventually covered itself
completely in earth.
"agghh, no, return Blastoise. You will not live when our paths cross again
Pug."
The Team Rocket member disappeared in a blinding flash.

"Brock are you okay"
"I'm fine, are you Ashes son, Pug"
"Yes, I have heard many stories of you Brock"
"You have come to take revenge on Team Rocket but you will not succeed, you
have only two pokémon and if you cannot defeat one member, you will most
certainly not be able to defeat them all "
"My father spoke fondly of you, Brock"
"yes he will be sorely missed in the pokémon world"
"Brock if I do not act fast my fathers pokémon will be destroyed and Team
Rocket will wipe out this town"
"Pug, do not worry about this town, I will give you two of my finest pokémon
to take with you, you must hurry, Me and the New Elite 4 will protect this
town from Team Rocket, they'll never get past us"
"Yes Brock I must defeat the mewclone and Team Rocket, if they should
harness its power the world would be in ruins."
"Pug here are the two pokéballs Machoke and Golduck, take good care of them
and may they lead you to victory"

Then a 30-something man ran up to Brock.
He was Durward of the new Elite 4.
"Brock,Team Rocket are attacking we need all the help we can get"
"Pug you must go now and free the world from Team Rockets evil" Brock said
to Pug with no emotion."I must stay here"
Durward said to Pug "Come on man, you're our only hope take this master
ball, it's the only one of it's kind, it'll catch any pokémon, maybe you can
harness mewclones power and use it for yourself. You can sneak out a secret
entrance out the back way "
Pug nodded with appreciation and ran as fast as he could into the woods.

Pug travelled all the way through the night, he knew on instinct he was
heading for Team Rockets HQ. over the night he encountered many deformed
pokémon bodies lying on the ground.
How could they have been so sick as to kill all these pokémon, he tried to
ignore the corpses and keep his mind on getting revenge for his fathers
death, he was ready, he had four powerful pokémon. he would do it.

The forest was vast and he decided to rest, he was awoken by a sound, it
felt familiar.
He then leapt off the ground and was confronted by his fathers spirit.
"son", his father said,"You must keep going the HQ is not far, You have made
me proud you have become strong since you left with weedle, I will always be
proud no matter if you win or lose against Team Rocket, if you can free my
Pokémon you will be assured victory and remember I love you"
Dad don't go, no, noooo.
Pug was awoken by Machoke who was doing press-ups. Was it all a dream, did
his fathers spirit really visit him.
he felt the HQ even closer now. He walked another Two Kilometeres and saw
the towering mass of the Team Rocket HQ.
Then one of the deformed clones Leaped out of one of the windows. It's veins
were bursting and it's limbs were falling off, then Pug saw the Mewclone,
through the window, it was killing all the Pokémon in the HQ, it had
escaped. It was 6 times bigger than MewTwo Pug couldn't believe the strength
of it.
Before Pug could make another move his stare locked with the Mewclone, the
Mewclone stared deep into Pug's eyes then it filled with anger and began a
leap through the blood stained window.
"Oh crap" Pug nervously let out

Kakuna's Revenge Part 5: The final confrontation Kakuna's revenge

The story so far: After reaching Team Rocket HQ, Pug has confronted the deadly MewClone, will he survive to take revenge for his father's death read on and find out.

Pug stared ever deeper into the MewClone's eyes hoping for some kind of remorse, then like a shining saviour a voice cried out "pokéball go!"
The MewClone took it's attention off pug for a moment whilst being distracted by the voice.
The pokéball opened up hoping to catch the MewClone, it only got as far as that though, Mewclone swiped at it furiously destroying it in the process.
In anger the MewClone flew back through the window were it came from, back into the HQ.
At first pug thought to say thanks to this person but then the voice said "you must be Ash jnr we've been waiting for you, please come with me"
"I'll never help Team Rocket" pug let out proudly
"If you do not comply we will destroy you and your father's remaining pokémon"
Pug had no choice, the person led him through the Team Rocket building, signs of a fierce battle were showing, entire walls were crushed and a bevvy of injured pokémon were lying all about.
" Boss Neeson wants to see you, all our attempts at capturing MewClone have been unsuccessful. It is far too powerful and your father's MewTwo refuses to obey us, step into this lift "
Pug reluctantly stepped into the lift as they reached the intended floor a thumping noise echoed from the lift shaft.
"What the.." the Team Rocket member uttered in confusion.
Then in a flash the ceiling panel of the lift was ripped open and the MewClone was ready for lunch, like a hungry meowth opening a can of sardines.
The Team rocket member desperately reached for his pokéballs but was grabbed by the MewClone and thrown to the bottom of the shaft.
The MewClone then began eating the pokéballs he had taken from the Team Rocket member whole.
"What the hell was this thing" Pug thought to himself whilst furiously clawing to get out of the lift door.
To his luck and amazement the door opened and he got out, he was just in time to here the door slam shut behind him and all he could hear was the MewClone climbing back up the shaft.
Pug was still in shock from what had just happened but there was no time to lose, he looked at his surroundings then to his amazement he saw 6 pokéballs all labeled Ketchums pokémon, Pug grabbed them and to his delight they were all his father's stolen Pokémon, and they were unharmed.
Only one was missing MewTwo, Pug knew he had left his Scyther and Cubone with Brock and the elite 4, they would be okay, they were not strong enought to fight this battle. The 6 pokéballs contained Zapdos, Articuno, Gyarados, Moltres, Dragonite and Blastoise. His father had fought hard and trained well to get these pokémon he couldn't disappoint them by losing his nerve. 
A scientist cried out from his hiding place "hey give those pokémon back, once we capture MewClone we will crossbreed them all to make super-pokémon"
The scientist then called out Starmie. "Starmie water gun attack now, get that brat"
Quicker then he thought he could Pug called out Zapdos.
"Zapdos agility"
Pug was worried that the Pokémon would not obey him but it seemed to recognise his voice.
"damn water gun missed" the scientist said in dismay.
"Zapdos Thunderbolt, now" Pug screamed
Zapdos let out a blinding stream of electricity that hit the Starmie and smashed it across the ground.  
"Listen pug shouted at the scientist "I'm here to defeat the MewClone and I haven't got time to mess about with you, okay"
The scientist gave in without any second thought and explained to Pug that the Boss is in a secret lab on the lower floors he had wanted Pug to come because his father had been a good trainer. The assault on Pug's father was not meant to kill him but the MewClone got out of control. The boss is working on a plan with Jonathon and Marie, they say something about the MewTwo being the key to the epidemic.
Pug had heard enough and was ready to confront the Boss.
"Take me to the floor" Pug said in a savage voice.
"Boss will be most pleased to see you, this way" A secret compartment opened up in the floor and a lift came up.
Pug stepped in, he hadn't had much luck with lifts today.
As the elevator went down they saw a battle throught he window pane, several Team Rocket members were desperately battling against the MewClone, Pug almost felt sorry for them but then he remembered that it was their fault, they had unleashed this power.
The elevator stopped and the door opened
Pug looked through the mist-shrouded lab-type area only to here two voices
 
"Prepare for trouble"
"Make it double"
"To protect the world from devastation"
"To unite all peoples within our nation"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love, to extend our reach to the stars above"
"Jonathon"
"Marie"
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light, surrender now or prepare to fight"
"Hitmonleeee"
 
 "Quite a nice motto don' t you think, we stole it from our parents" Jonathon said smugly
 
"Look I don't care" Pug said "Hand over MewTwo and I won't hurt your pokémon"
Jonathon and Marie just started laughing.
Pug noticed Boss Neeson was watching from a distance, he would find out the truth now
He turned around and saw Jonathon and Marie drawing their pokéballs 
"Go Jolteon, thundershock" Jonathon squealed
"Go Golem, rock throw" Marie exclaimed
Pug had an extremely short time to think but he knew both of these pokémon could be easily defeated by water.
"Go blastoise surf over them both" Pug screamed as the pokéball opened.
The surf attack left both pokémon dazed.
 
Boss Neeson stepped out from the shadows, Jonathon and Marie you bumbling fools step back we must deal with the MewClone epidemic.
Pug stood in front of the boss.
"Why do all of this" Pug said with little sympathy
"I do it because if we harness the power of the mysterious mew the world will be ours" 
"What do you mean us" Pug said
"Yes, son I abandoned you on the doorstep of Ash Ketchum so he could bring you up to be a Pokémon master and now you have proved you are strong enough by reaching me past the challenge of the MewClone, join me and we will conquer this world"
"My father did say he found me on the doorstep but how could you do that" Ash said emotionly
"I had to . I - I could never raise a child, son please forgive me" Neeson said from the bottom of his heart.
 
Then just as Pug was beginning to understand his father the MewClone burst throught the floor and it confronted Boss neeson.
 
"Son this is my time to go" Neeson said with pity
"Noooooo" Pug screamed as he released the master ball that was nestling in his pocket "master ball go"
The MewClone had a terrified look on it's face as the master ball closed in on it.
The master ball closed its jaws and everyone sighed with relief
"Son how can I ever redo that favour"
"Stop being evil dad please" Pug said finally understanding his father
"Okay son" the two share a hug between father and son.
 
Behind them though the MewClone is using every attack to get out of the pokéball.
It'll never escape ever again thought Pug as he hugged his true father.
 
But then disaster struck the master ball exploded and the MewClone eyes filled with rage, first it swiped at Neeson who catapulted across the room and then it stood in front of pug
"I better put up a fight for Ash and my father" he thought to himself
The MewClone was again distracted by a noise it was MewTwo.
As it was distracted Pug released all 6 pokéballs at once. "Formation attack on MewClone" Pug screamed 
The MewClone stared at MewTwo as to say "Why are you fighting me I am you"
 
Pug saw the attacks were no good, the MewClone would have to be paralyzed before any attacks would register.
"MewTwo Psychic now" he cried in hope
to his surprise MewTwo did the attack and for once MewClone was overwhelmed by the power from all the pokémon.
This period only lasted a few seconds though and it started lashing out with it's most powerful attacks.
 he ordered all his pokémon to use strong paralyze attacks but it was no good they would never win. then he remembered something Ash told him at the very start of his Pokémon adventure "overconfidence would lose the battle".  " I hadn't any confidence " Pug thought to himself.
 
A new spirit burst into Pug and he found himself ordering Jonathon and Marie to help. They were touched by the emotional bond between him and the boss so they struck out on Mewclone with Hitmonlee, Jolteon, Golem and Charizard.
 
This was still not enough though and the pokémon were getting beaten to the ground one by one, if they were ordinary pokémon they'd be dead by now.
 
Then like a shining hope a small figure floated throught the air. It was MEW.
Pug looked overjoyed, and watched as Mew and MewTwo stood side by side preparing for the battle to decide the worlds fate.
The MewClone looked confused and tried to lull the two Pokémon into helping it take revenge on the world
MewTwo almost gave in but Pug shouted "Don't give up MewTwo"
The two pokémon tried a bluffing trategy by stepping forwards but the MewClone had worked out this tactic and used a powerful swipe attack and killed the two pokémon instantly.
 
Pug looked in dismay as the MewClone won and it began to turn to face him. It raised it's giant hand and began to strike down on Pug but a Psychic beam hit the MewClones head. The beam was so powerful it took it's head clean off. Pug looked to the right and saw Mew and MewTwo. they must have used such a great amount of Psychic power to great the illusion of a duplicate.
But then they looked on in horror as it reconstructed it's face piece by piece. it was obvious by now that it was almost dead. MewClone charged up for one last attack that would kill both Mews and all the pokémon and trainers in the room.
It released the bolt of energy but something leaped out to stop it, it was Kakuna, it was his Kakuna, the one Ash had given him. He stared eyes with it as it was being destroyed and pug knew in his heart that kakuna had truly loved him as it sacrificed it's life. The beam then reflected back on to MewClone and it was destroyed with it's own energy beam. 
Pug shared a final moment with his Kakuna as it disappeared into a mess of blood along with MewClone. 
 
Pug went over to congratulate the two pokémon as the MewClones corpse melted away. the Mew and mewTwo agreed to join Pug and he took them in the pokéballs. He went over to jonathon and Marie and thanked them.
 
"I hope this means that Team Rocket will start being good instead of Bad" Pug said happily
The two trainers agreed and thanked Pug
Pug stepped over to his father's body
"father I have saved the world" he said
"S-o-n I will not survive I want you to take Team Rocket and turn it into a good team, take my place, I am proud of you. I wanted to be good all along but temptation struck me and I decided I was so bad I could not raise a child, take my Pokémon, train them like Ashhh woulldd, goodbye son please forgive me." 
Neeson then died in Pugs arms as Pug cried into his father's chest.
 
Pug then stepped up to Jonathon and Marie
"Okay then lets get this place cleaned up for Team Rocket's new good image" he said with a burst of new hope.
"Yes, sir Boss" they both snapped back.
 
After a few days Pug decided he didn't want to be a leader he decided that Jonathon would make an excellent leader, team Rocket had changed, the only reason they were evil was because of the Boss, Pug hoped this relationship would last a long time. He told his members to become real trainers and win badges not to steal pokémon. The HQ was destroyed and Team Rocket dispersed to become real trainers across the globe.
 
2 weeks later
 
Pug had already gotten 2 badges lucky him, he decided to take a break and set up a camp site. he watched as Mew and MewTwo were discussing battle strategy whilst the 3 mystical birds and Dragonite were having a race. Cubone and Scyther were sleeping whilst Gyarados and Blastoise were swimming.
Pug looked through the makeshift fire he had made he then saw the ghostly image of Ash.
 
"Ash I did it I rid the world of evil" Pug said excitedly
"I am proud of you but Neeson your real father is good now his spirit is cleansed because of you" Ash said
Neeson appeared
"Son I want you to be the Pokémon master I never was, promise me that" Neeson said
"Yes father I will and I'll never forget the Kakuna that saved my life it will always be in my heart, goodbye Ash, goodbye Dad
The ghostly images disappeared
 
Pug looks up to the sky to see a formation of stars that looks like a Kakuna, a shooting star sweeps across the sky followed by Articuno, Zapdos, Dragonite and Moltres having their race.   
 
THE END
