As you
may have seen on our message board, Pappy is no longer a member of SW.
There are new files in the download section, if you wish to fly a bomber
game, you will need to download both the B24j and the B25. Both planes
can be downloaded and extracted directly to your CFS/Aircraft folder. I
have been told that we change over to the new beta zone within the next
few days, we will see. Nav_Solo has been making an a#@ehole of himself
on the zone as usual, flooding the chat with either Romeo and Juliet or
typing in the date and time every minute. I guess small things amuse small
minds, just put him on ignore.

The
new website look is nearly complete. Lately I have been flying bomber runs
with the B24j Liberator, this is available from the downloads page, I have
set it to use P47 default sound and panel so that the download does not
take all day. The original sound and panel are available on their respective
download pages should you wish to use them. You've got to try a bomber
run, it is a lot of fun.

Ooops!
News editor has been slack. I see WA_Nautica and WA_fliboy are no longer
WA's. You may have noticed this website has had major changes. Things were
starting to get complicated with links going in 3-4 pages, now things are
a lot tidier. Some of the members now have photo's on, you can see the
faces behind the bullets on the flight crew page. Please bear with me,
the changes are nearly done.

I was
at AT's message board yesterday and replied to a message that MOB_flybaby
had left, I checked again today and see that both messages as well as another
reply have been deleted. A message from April says they changed servers
and some messages were deleted. Hmmmmmm I've been trying not take
sides over Barbies zone police stance, but am finding that harder to do.
AT had booted Flyer out of their squad and I see that after Dreamsharer
and Kaze had a few words in the main chat that he is now WA_Fliboy. I've
gotta say it "Things just keep on getting more and more weird"

This
site now has a photo album, so anyone who has taken a pic while shooting
us down, feel free to send it to me and I'll put it up. Check out the pic
of SC_Sideshowbill parking his plane. LOL. I see MOB_flybaby is having
a feild day after proclaiming MOB squad to be the zone police. I find it
hard to believe that you combat hassling with hassling in the main chat.
Oh well, that's her call. Gets pretty tedious though when people throw
abuse at one another for hours at a time.

Sorry
there hasn't been a lot of news lately, the zone is pretty quiet. The beta
zone is online again, you can find the link down the page.

Southern
Warbirds squadron now has 6 members, all ex SC. Southern Cross squadron
is still going strong with 11 members.
Not
a lot of zone news of late. Viper_571 got muted by a sysop yesterday for
flooding the chat, calling AlanVonSwoop a cheat. Problem was a couple of
hours later he was at it again, this time using the name Alan_sux. Just
a cry baby.

Anybody
noticed the change? I am now proud to be a part of a new squad, Southern
Warbirds. Thanks to all those who offered me positions in their squads
and for the support in starting a new one.

Well
announcement time. After some 7 months with Southern Cross Squadron, I
have resigned. This website will remain open and the news will continue
to be updated. So keep coming back, who knows what will happen.

I got
to have a look at the "new" zone last night. I'm very inpressed , there
are a lot more options viewing rooms, there is even a sysop button now,
no more going through your list looking for a sysop lol. Only problem is,
it's still in beta, so in came a sysop and booted me out. She says it will
be operational soon.

The
zone has been a little bit quiet. Southern Cross Squadron is now down to
17 members with the resignation of SC_Chainsaw. We are all sorry to see
him leave, as our association with him goes back nearly 7 months to when
we were RNZAF Squadron.
Apologies
for the message board being down yet again, turns out I have to be above
a certain percentage to keep it active. Grrrrrr! So will find yet another
the that will work.
