Due to real life time commitments, very little time is left for me to devote to Diablo and Hellfire. As such, I have already decided to "retire" from the two games that have brought me much joy for the past year or two. However, Icestorm will not be left in the balance and WILL certainly be updated and duly completed.
Icestorm v1.01 however, will not be released due to some technical difficulties. In its place would be Icestorm v2, with some new stuff and some old stuff (somehow I corrupted the file for Icestorm v1.01, so... oops). Previous Icestorm characters might be able to be carried over to v2 but item morphing are bound to happen like crazy should you do that. So recommendation is to start a new character from scratch... There are some surprises at early levels.

Icestorm v2
Base Item Changes (duly completed)
- Special racial weapon types have been created (ie Dwarven Axes and Elven Blades) and
some stronger base weapon types have been added as well (ie War Axes and Crossbows).
Some existing weapon types have been modified to make them more appealing (esp. Long
Sword) while others have been taken out.
- Mails have often lost out to plates despite having better graphics for certain classes.
It is no longer the case now with Elven Chain Mail have comparable ac as Full Plates. New
base armor types have also been added (ie War Plate).
- Other small changes have also been made to rings, amulets and other miscellaneous stuff.
There are now a greater number of choices for jewelry graphics (ie Blood Rings and
Mystical Amulets) as well as some never-seen-before stuff (ie Bear Paws) which have great
mystical powers waiting to be unleashed...
Prefixes/Suffixes Changes (done)
Some minor changes have be made, mainly the high end prefixes/suffixes. For example,
Ruby/Diamond/Sapphire is extended to give max resist for that type, and Merciless is
extended to +200% to give it some appeal over King's. All prefixes and suffixes will also
be findable in the dungeons (though some only by Diablo). New prefixes/suffixes (such as
+200% damage vs demons) have also be created.
Unique Item Changes (done)
New uniques, duh. Most Diablo uniques will remain as it is but all will be findable this
time round. Of course the higher end uniques is going to be extremely powerful and can
only be found in nightmare/hell difficulty levels. Blood stones can now be worn!!! There
are also some thematic uniques as well (ie Relic items and Storm rings)
Monsters (done)
Beefed up and far stronger than before (will definitely be weaker than VK's as there are
tons of codes that I don't know and they know), be prepared for some nasty creatures
sneaking up to you at times. King Leoric a walkover? Not if you have a legion of them...
Spells (done)
Most spells remain unchanged but some of the lesser used spells have increased in appeal
(at least a bit). As an example, Firebolt now fires not one but three bolts. Infravision
taken out of the game (though there is still a way) and a few new spells created. A new
spell Exodus gives you instant retreat, transporting you instantly (upon casting) back to
the safety of the town.
Stay tuned, coz Icestorm will soon blitz its way to a PC near you! For those
