Many Kindred tend to dismiss the Toreador as a bunch of  Hedonistic, inner-squabbling degenerates. To some degree this is true, but there is a lot more to this perpetually underestimated clan. Most Toreador tend to fall into either of two catagories: the Artistes, the talented artists and preformers who live for their art, and the Poseurs, who could draw a stick figure to save their unlives, but believe that they nonetheless understand it's significance and can critique it. They are also as politicly adept as any Ventrue (Clan Toreador is second, albeit a distant second, to the Ventrue in the Prince ranks) and are often the ones behind the scenes making the Artiste's art show possible.

Throughout their history, they considered themselves paitrons to the arts and believe that it is their duty to preserve exceptional talent for all time with the Embrace. Accordingly, many of the great talents in history make up the Toreador's ranks. The Toreador are also intensely drawn to beauty and thus have also been known to Embrace to preserve a particularly stunning physical speciman.

They share the Ventrue's love for high society, as a matter of fact, there are no two clans that are more closely knit than they they. After all it is a convenient pairing, the Ventrue have the money, the Tories have the talent. Some Tremere have also attempted to crash into the High Society party but usually end up the butt of exceptionally harsh jokes.  Many a Toreador can be found among the Harpies as they delight in Social smighting revel in the brown-nosings of others.

Toreador live their unlives with passion and flair. They are are among the most stylishly dressed and trendy of Kindred. Of all vampires, they are the closest to their mortal roots. They love to surround themselves with luxury, beauty, and most of all, the mortals they so love.

Disciplines: Auspex, Celerity, Presence

Apptitude:  +1 to perception. Add one die to any task involving observation or alertness (for example, detecting an ambush or spotting a hidden wall safe).

Advantage: Herd. They love the nightlife, they love to boogie. And they attract mortals to themselves like moths to a flame. Once per story, a Toreador with access to her Herd may replenish her blood levels.

Weakness: Rapture. Toreador are lovers of the aesthetic and beautiful. When a Toreador views, hears or even smells something that is truly beautiful, he must make a Mental roll (Difficulty 4) or become entranced. It will last for the scene or until the beautiful thing withdraws. The Toreador may not even defend themselves if attacked, though being wounded allows them to make another Mental roll to "snap out of it".

This & That: Status within the clan is as unpredictable as the weather (without Tremere influence). You can be loved one night, shunned the next. Lineage is also important, it can win you adoration or jealous scorn.

Nickname: Degenerates

Character Creation: Social Attributes and Talents are where it's at for Clan: Toreador. Artistes prefer the Performance and Expression Abilities, while their Poseur bretheren concentrate on Etiquette and Subterfuge. Perception however, is important to both for the purposes of creation and critiquing. Common Backgrounds are Fame, Resources, Contacts, Allies, Herd, and Status.

Organization: There not much organization. Though members meet frequently, this usually happens at lavish parties and social gatherings were not much really gets done.

Concerns: Aside from beauty and art, the Toreador have no real concerns, with the exception of the more politically minded Poseurs. However, there is a concern over the Tremere's vie to wrest control of the Camarilla from the Ventrue. If the tremere should win out in the end, there is great fear that they will not be as generous paitrons as the Ventrue.

Bloodlines: Toreador Antitribu

Lightbulb Joke: How many Toreador does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

One. She holds onto the lightbulb and waits for the rest of the world to revolve around her.
