MAX MTU'S Adjusting your max mtu's is relatively simple, it is a way to adjust your win95 or 98 to match your servers transfer rate, windows defaults to 1500 mtu's, but a lot of servers run at 576 some higher, what you want is to match windows closer to your ISP's transfer rate so that windows does not have to slow down to match the delay rate of your ISP. You do this by adjusting your maxmtu , it is a game of hit and misses and it is adjusted in your win{regedit}. In the tech help section there are two articles on pinging and tracert which will help you do this, and to make it easier on the less mechanically skilled I have a freeware program to help you do this it is similar to tweakdunn but this is the full blown program and best of all its free! Also another new entry you might want to try is a program called superfast it is in my ftp site you will see it when you click on optimize above, it is a acceleration program which speeds up your harddrive and your multi-tasking, it speeded up my hard drive by 342%, the programs are free they are full blown versions the only catch is you have to make their manufactures homage your start page when you sign onto the internet a small price to pay for what they give in return!
