Welcome to the Single Player Mod section of the Maniacal Realm.  On it you will find single player Total Conversions (TC) and single player Addons reviewed. For those of you who do not know the difference between a TC and an Addon, a TC is a type of mod that changes almost every aspect of a game (weapons, levels, bad guys, AI, sound, etc.) However, an addon is a type of "mini" mod that usually adds many new maps, new sounds, and maybe a new bad guy or two. An addon can also be something that maybe adds a new bad guy, or different fire modes for the weapons.

Just like on the SP Review part of the page, we rate on a 0-100% scale, 0% being total shit and 100% being a great mod. When we rate the TC's/Addons we look at many things. First and foremost we want a fun mod with a good story. Not a dull boring one. Besides that we break the TC/Addon into two categories, maps and new stuff. In the maps category, we rate just as we do in the Sp review section, Theme, Architecture/Design, texturing, and Item/Foe placement. In the extra goodies section we rate the new stuff included in the TC/Addons. (New weapons, sounds, monsters, weapons, etc.)

If a TC or a addon gets in-between 90-100% then we here at the Maniacal Realm awards it with either the PLATINUM TC or PLATINUM ADDON award. You can check them out below.
