Well,
some of you "Loyal Heat.Net players" want me to show some truth about Heat.net.
I respect everyone's opinion, so I will write what's good about heat. Some
of you "HEAT Haters" may be disgraced by this, but it has to be done.
I hate to admit
it, but it's true. I think heat is the best gaming network. It is just
that there are some attributes that I do not agree with or believe. That
is what this site was designed for. Hopefully, because of this site, HEAT.Net
will actually change some of their ways. Now, back to what I was saying.
heat does have a very good sense of community, most people are nice and
willing to help out. After all, heat users did come together and donate
over $10,000 to charity. No other gaming network can claim this! Also,
Heat does give out prizes and award you for playing. It is just that a
specific group wins more often then others, as explained in my "And the
winners are always..." section. Another attribute that makes Heat.Net better
then other networks is the number of games supported by Heat. More games
are played there then any other network. Everyone knows this. So why isn't
everyone on HEAT.net? Reason being, two major factors. First, Heat may
have numerous games to play, but all or most of them lag worse here then
anywhere. I have played quake 1, and quake mods on HEAT, TEN, MPlayer,
and Gamespy. And yes, HEAT lagged me the most. In fact, I had a 60 less
ping on all other networks. And finally, Heat.Net's skill level is down.
This drives off people, believe it or not. No one wants to come play against
newbies. Good players want to go where good players are. This takes them
to MPlayer, or TEN, or any other network.
Now call me whatever
you want, but this is the summary of HEAT.Net. I have played on and am
a member of HEAT.net, TEN, Gamespy, and MPlayer. Truth is, I always come
back to heat. So HEAT, your doing something right. If you can change a
couple of your ways..... well , a few of your ways. Then let's just say,
watch the other networks decrease rapidly.
