4 - 5 March - the match between teams of Moscow and St.-Petersburg was held.
We should organize cvalificate tournament for participation in a championship of the world among the amateurs (New York 2000). But that Irina Novikova was not allowed in a room Edukacentre, instead of this tournament the match Moscow - St.-Petersburg was carried out.

6 - 8 January - The Second Moscow Shogi Open Tournament 2000. The Russian players from Moscow both St.-Petersburg and visitors from Japan have taken part in it.
From the Japanese party participat Nakao Osamu 6Dan Pro, Moro Takemi, Muro Todashi, Tatsutomi Hiroyuki (3Dan amateur) and 12 year old Tatsutomi Hirokazu.
They have conducted testing the Russian players and have pirated by him the qualifying categories.

June 6 executes 200 years from birthday of the great Russian poet A.S.Pushkin.

The Second tournament on Shogi in St.-Petersburg (Russia) was held in Secondary Scholl 163. 8 players started, but only 7 was ended successfully. The First place has won Galina Shpileva. The remaining places have taken: Fedoseev Eugeny, sisters Marina, Tanya and Nelli Tsai, his mother Elena Tsai and Dmitry Juravlev.
We want to create Shogi-Club in Saint-Petersburg soon. We want to name his the "Keyma".

The Second tournament on Shogi in St.-Petersburg (Russia) will implement. The 2-nd tournament didn't take place. We played friends game and played on JavaShogi.
